one month later...

what a difference 1 month can make in the life of a child. we were at spring hill on her 1 month as a rill date. On that very day David showed up at camp to surprise the kids as I walked down the road with him I announced "look who I found" all the kids ran up to him all hugging him at the same time, yes all of them. As we saw her running up the road with the other kids we knew right then that she knew she belonged in this family. I said to David remember when you were so worried about her not liking you, that was only 4 weeks ago. here she is sitting by the fire on her baba's ( daddy's) lap.
another update, after 7 weeks of being a rill she gave her first kiss! we have been kissing her on the fore head but at bed time last night David got the first kiss. She is very comfortable with us all, my pain still scares her where the other kids are just used to it but when I am feeling well all is good. She learns new words everyday and has started school. She does math and writing with liv and works with D or I at the table with phonics while liv does the rest of her work. She is unbelievably happy and loves to have fun and to help with jobs. She will not talk about china yet but very rarely seems sad about it. the only times it comes up is when she misses her friends we have her pictures hanging by her bed. If you do meet her she will be very shy probably hide behind one of us or run away. At home though she is just like any other 8 year old running ,laughing, singing "oh oh praise Him" or Hannah Montana with her sister, wrestling with her brothers or climbing on our bed to be by David or I. Our prayers for her while she was still in China was that God would protect her and prepare her heart to be a part of our family, I will say He is good and has given us these things that we had requested. Thank you for all who are following our adventure, for your prayers and love, as i always say Gods ideas are the best!
